Downy’s new foam products suited for removing stains and dirt without prewashing
[Mediapen=Kim Young-jin] The Procter & Gamble(P&G) Company today announced the launching of Downey fabric softeners in Korea for the first time.

The new premium fabric softeners were developed based on thorough analysis of Korean consumer’s laundry habits. It will be available in two types including liquid and foam. The foam type is a new innovation introduced in Korea for the first time in the world.

Through consumer analysis, the company noticed that many Korean customers pre-washed their laundry to effectively remove dirt and stains. With P&G’s new fabric softeners, customers can get cleaner clothes without prewashing.

Based on P&G’s know-hows and technologies from the 1960s, the liquid type contains twice the concentration and the foam type contains three times the concentration of normal fabric conditioners.

The new products penetrate deep into the fibers to easily remove stains and contaminants by strongly separating them. Through this deep cleaning, they can remove causes of odors without the need of prewashing.

“We expect to provide Korean consumers with more enjoyable and satisfying laundry experience with the new Downy products,” said Balaka Niyazee, CEO of P&G Korea.
